The Enriching Life Dashboard will help you to realize your life dreams by doing a small contribution every day. We defined a process which requires only 5 to 10 minutes of your time every morning to plan your actions for the day and to review the progress from the previous day. Following this process will very soon create a positive impact to your life. It will allow you to unleash the potential you have within. You will engage your heart, mind, body and spirit in everything you do and find a higher level of satisfaction, joy, and creativity.

The Life Dashboard covers the following 3 areas:

  • Life Planning (Life Dreams, Goals and Action Planning)
  • Doing / Focus (Brain Dump, Focus and Daily Actions)
  • Measurement (Progress and Journal)

The Dashboard is a tool for more experienced users and allows you to manage all your daily actions at one page. You can also go to the specific page for each step (e.g. brain dump or focus) and get a more detailed view and instructions.

1. Life Planning:

As first step you should start creating your personal life plan including life dreams, goals and actions. Ideally you do this one time and then focus on achieving and living your dreams. We suggest you to review your life plan once every 3 months to see if you're on track and also to check if your priorities or goals have changed. You should review and adjust the plan at least once a year, e.g. to set the goals for the upcoming year.

Please start your life planning process by clicking on Life Dreams (Planning Step 1). You will find more instructions on the top right side of this page.

2. Doing / Focus:

Once you have created your life plan you can start focusing on make your "dreams come true" by doing at least one small contribution every day. All it requires are 5 to 10 minutes every morning to plan your daily actions ideally in a quiet environment and before you do start with your regular work.

Your daily action planning process includes the following steps:

  • Daily Routine Actions:
  • Brain Dump Actions:
  • Focus Actions

Daily Routine Actions:

When you open the Life Dashboard in the morning then you should first see these Daily Routine Actions in your "My Actions for Today" box in the lower middle of the screen. If this box is empty that means you have not defined your life plan yet or you haven't broken down your life dreams into goals and actions. In that case, please take some time to start creating your personal life plan starting with the 3 planning steps first Life Dreams, then Goals and then Action Planning on the left side of the screen.

The Daily Routine Actions are actions which you have defined as daily recurring in your life plan (action planning). Daily recurring means you would like to develop this action as a habit which you automatically do every day. This could be actions like daily exercise, drinking more water or allocating some time for reading, playing with your kids or spending more time with your spouse.

Here a few examples on how such daily recurring actions could look like (Life Dream -> Goal -> Action):

  • Example 1: Have abundant energy -> Energy boosting diet -> Eat fruits every day
  • Example 2: Lifetime of Learning -> Become an expert in my work -> Spend 30 min every day reading related material

In fact, you will see that after doing these actions every day for at least 30 days they will become your habit which you continue to do automatically every day. We recommend that you focus on 1 or 2 such routine actions at a time until you have developed them as a habit. You can then close these actions as achieved and define other daily recurring actions to address some other life areas.

Brain Dump Actions:

The Brain Dump section is a wonderful tool to "clear your head" by jotting down all the things you "have to do" today. This is the first step of your daily action planning routine which should not take you more than 5 minutes in the morning. You can also write down all the things you can do at a later point in time and which you don't want to forget. Just use the Brain Dump tool to write them all down and don't worry about them any longer as long as you follow the process.

Once all your "To-Do's"are entered, they will show up in the "My Actions for Today" box. Just select the ones which you don't wanna do today and then press the skip button. These actions are kept in your Brain Dump list and you can activate them any time you want.

If you want to review all Brain Dump actions you entered on another day then please go to the Brain Dump action page (click on the Brain Dump icon). You will see the complete list including date entered and status. You can add them to your "My Actions for Today" list by selecting todays date or add another relevant due target date. They will then just show up in your list automatically on this day. You can also assign your Brain Dump actions to a specific life dream or goal which makes it part of your overall life plan.

Focus Actions:

As next step you can contribute something today to get closer to one of your life dreams or goals. Completing even small actions can give you a great feeling of achievement. Specify your focus topic for today by selecting only ONE life dream or goal on the left side of the page and make it happen! You don't have to do this every day. Just do this step if you think the time and day is good and you are in the right mood for it. We allow you to select only one focus topic for one day to ensure the best outcome. Doing too many things at the same time is usually not very productive.

To get a more detailed view of all your existing life dreams, goals and actions just go to the focus page (click on the Focus icon). This list only shows your life dreams and goals which are not completed yet. The +/- at the left column of the table allows you to open/close a specific life area or life dream to get a better overview.

Please also think about additional actions you can do to help achieving your focus topic and key them in at the top left side. You can add a detailed description, priority and target date for these actions later.

The related actions to the selected life dream or goal will be highlighted in yellow, so you can see straightaway where today's focus lies. Don't worry if your focus selection assigns too many additional actions for today. You can select and skip some of the focus actions for today either at the focus page or at the Life Dashboard page where you see at the "My actions for today" page.

My Actions For Today

The 3rd and final step of your daily action planning is to review all actions for today at a glance: Your "Brain Dumps", your "Focus for today" and your "Daily Routine" actions - all that needs to be done and all that matters today is shown in the "My Actions for Today" box.

Please review this complete action list and skip actions if the list is too long or some actions are not so important. It is very important that you set a realistic action plan for the day, otherwise you will loose focus and interest.

Please spent a few minutes everyday to update your achievements and change the status to "Done" for all completed actions.

The LifeDashboard will show you the completion ratio from the past week in the graph "Progress (Daily Actions)". You will see if you set yourself too high or too many targets and can adjust accordingly. Please try to achieve >50% every day which will give you a great sense of achievement.

To get a detailed view of all life dreams, goals and actions in your "Daily Actions" page and click on the +/- at the left column of the table to open/close the complete list or the list for one of the life areas only.

3. Measurement:

On the right side of the Life Dashboard you can see the actual achievement of your daily actions (Progress (Daily Actions)) and how they impact to your Life Dreams and Life Areas (Progress (Life Areas)).

You should try to select your focus actions in life areas where you have low progress. You will see that achieving some goals and life dreams in each of the life areas will give you a much more fulfilled and happy life rather then just focusing at the same life area all the time.

Please go to the Progress page to get a more detailed view on your progress of your life dreams goals and actions.

Another great way to monitor and reflect on your progress and achievements is to write a journal every day. Just write down what you have done today in the different life areas and your thoughts about it. You can keep this journal private or you can share it with your friends or some of the life coaches and experts to get comments and feedback. This might give you the encouragement and guidance you need to move forward with your life dreams and make sure they become reality.

Good luck!
